Facilities
Timber Creek Retrievers provide access to some of the finest training grounds available. The Mississippi kennels are located on 8 acres where most of the beginning work is completed. We teach obedience, force-fetch, pile work, and T Drills along with beginning marking and blind work there. Once ready for the field, retrievers transition to our farm with over 300 acres of challenging terrain. This working cattle farm exposes retrievers to a large variety of different environments. These locations are just west of Tupelo, MS.
Our Tennessee grounds consist of a kennel and drill site with 25 acres and field sites with over 1,000 acres of flat lands, swamps, high country, sloughs, pastures, and ponds tailor-made for retriever training. The Tennessee location is just north-east of Chattanooga in Cleveland, TN.
From the bottom-land hayfields, to the steep hillsides, to the rolling pastures, the possibilities are endless for the hunting scenarios that can be set up. In addition to the personal farmland, Timber Creek has access to thousands more acres of prime training grounds allowing tons of variety for your dog.
Safety, cleanliness and security of your family member are our top priority. All kennels are covered and have concrete floors that are washed multiple times daily and regularly disinfected. Behlen Galvanized Magnum TM brand kennel panels are used for all runs. They are very heavy-duty and exceptionally secure. Each kennel is individually locked in addition to being contained within a separately locked containment area. All kennels have 2″ x 4″ 6 AWG wire mesh tops for added security. Each run is equipped with automatic water supplies and elevated individual houses. Supplementary climate control is used when needed as well to insure comfort.
For transport, Timber Creek dogs ride in style…and safety…and security. Our custom-made truck and trailer provide an exceptionally comfortable ride with climate control and water in addition to a locked, safe compartment to ride in.
